Traditional vs. new media

This subject has received a great deal of heated debate recently.

Highway 101 has no allegiance to either camp. While we have vast experience of all forms of traditional media, we’ve gone out of our way to explore and embrace all of the new media options that are now available.

TV and printed paper alternatives will continue to be valid for many years yet, even if they continue to lose viewers and readers along the way. No doubt, they will all have to increase their online presence to survive. Some probably won’t make it.

Meanwhile, we believe that the new media options are opening up some very exciting and affordable opportunities, which demand our (and your) attention.

YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, podcasts SMS (and more) all have their place. Right now, they can allow us to reach niche target markets, but in time, online will be THE default direction.

Highway 101 still firmly believes that the key to every successful marketing campaign (be it traditional, digital or a combination of both) is a strong core marketing strategy and clever creative ideas.
